SEP So. Cal. Youth Camp is one of the best tools we have for
  • Introducing young people to Jesus
  • Immersing youth in God's way of life for an entire week
  • Young people to make some really deep friendships
  • Providing mentors and role models for the youth
  • Discipling & equipping the next generation of youth leaders
  • Leadership development among the adult staff
  • Motivating and inspiring an entire congregation

SEP So. Cal. is a week-long youth summer camp directed by Cornerstone's Pastors, Mark & Anne Stapleton.  It is held the second week of July at Cedar Lake Camp, a 270-acre mountain retreat center, 7,000 feet above sea level, just outside the village of Big Bear Lake CA.

Why is SEP So. Cal. a fantastic camp to attend?

SEP So. Cal. can accommodate up to 180 campers and 70 staff. This enables a better than 3:1 camper to staff ratio and allows the ability for staff to give youth the attention, acceptance and guidance they deserve.

The tuition at SEP So. Cal. is much lower than the average one-week resident camp ($380-$415 vs. $525-$650).

SEP So. Cal. promotes a holistic approach to youth ministry that acknowledges and strives to develop the whole potential of the participant.  This camp seeks to develop youth not only spiritually, but also emotionally, physically and socially.  This is accomplished through chapels, debriefing, solo time, activities, sports, special events, dorm living and other experiences.

This camp offers a wide variety of activities, all with developmental opportunities, in a breathtaking and inspiring setting.  But in the end, it is the spiritual component and the human equation of how the activities and experiences are conducted -- with love, respect and care -- that makes this camp so life transforming.

Youth need a positive, uplifting envronment to be encouraged and challenged to grow in their relationship with God and others.  SEP So. Cal. is that kind of a place.
